The Guatemala Initiative
In rural Guatemala, many students never make it past elementary school. But Esperanza Juvenil (EJ) gives them a shot—bringing kids from underserved communities into a full-time residential school in Guatemala City.
I went on an immersion trip to EJ in Summer of 2024. Now, I am the president of the Guatemala Initiative, where we tutor EJ students in English over Teams during school break.
